Blogging 101: The welcome post.

Here’s the part of the blog where I tell you why I started writing and what you can expect to see here. Except… I don’t have any real response to either of those points. I’m writing because I like it, it makes me feel good to put words down, I enjoy putting my thoughts out into the world for relatability (and even for the opposite, I’m open to discussion). I have no major expectations for starting this space, other than to talk about things that catch my attention and interest me. I can’t say what to expect from this blog, because I won’t put it in a box or into any categorization for what topics might come up.

I just want to talk about things that matter, and sometimes things that really don’t, but are still interesting to talk about. I enjoy sharing books I’ve read, or am reading,  things my kids are doing, what it’s like to be a single/special needs/working/tired mom, midwest weather, reality television, and so much more.

I would love to hear from other people who might read a post and think “hey, I totally get that,” or maybe even “yeah, not so much.” I want to hear other opinions, other experiences, and other perspectives on things. I’m not here to argue with the internet, I won’t engage with bullies or trolls, but I am always open to learning and having a good chat.

I’m Cassie
